Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, the Parisian designer to whom we owe the dresses and cardigans smiley plush, can be proud of him in less than a week, the leather dress striped black and white that he designed Lady Gaga has been seen by nearly 20 million Internet users. Contacted by telephone, he shares his enthusiasm for this performer fantastic creativity. Some time ago, Gaga Kermit spotted my coat and took it during a TV show German. The images have been around the web. We then conducted several projects together. I did however never met.

She wanted me to imagine in prison. So I left the image of Beagle brothers Walt Disney and the archetypal American prisoner in the 30s tuxedo, then I turned it in leather dress. I added oversized sleeves to give it aerodynamic side, as if she would take off. The dress was made in five days, worse than a challenge I face as a designer! Yes because the room was not made to measure. This jacket is from the Pirate collection spring-summer 2010. Read the rest of this entry »

Posted on January 6th, 2011 - by admin In ED Hardy handbags

780 million gallons of crude into the ocean for a little over three months: that is enough to make a lasting impression as well as the ecosystem awareness. But as often after such disasters, we can now expect to see many events cathartic hatched in areas as varied as art, literature and fashion. Premiere open the ball: The Series Water & Oil by Steven Meisel for Italian Vogue….

In the matter of provocation, Steven Meisel is far from being at his first trial: official photographer of Vogue Italy, the man likes to use the pages of Conde Nast to stage series of disturbing, flirting with reality which is not less. He was responsible for evoking an ironic cliches psychosis GENERATED BY epidemic of influenza A, but also extreme poverty or the excessive plastic surgery.

These series are then perceived as more or less outrageous, depending on whether or not cross the boundaries of morally correct. The album was influenza A and rather well received, while grima misery aroused indignation…

For its part, Water & Oil raises the question. I must say that as often Meisel, photos – sublimating to perfection a person having no connection with fashion – leave the reader with a curious feeling bad mix of genres…

Dressed creations directly from the Avenue Montaigne and mired in a semblance of hydrocarbons, Kristen McMenamy here undergoes the same fate as the countless birds and fish oil on the coast of Louisiana.

However, if they are magnificent realism, the cliches we are nonetheless falling into a parallel dimension, or dramatic events would be untenable to withdraw their size advantage of a free aestheticism. Serve as a guideline is 24 pages of photos, the disaster becomes a subject like any other, whose nature has Meisel allows designing ultra strong images. Read the rest of this entry »

Anna Wintour Roofing Industry

Posted on January 4th, 2011 - by admin In The Cotton Bride

On 10 May, the family of fashion magazines will host a new one: Industry. Billing itself as the first magazine about the culture of fashion industry offers cover not Gisele and Scarlett, but the legendary editor of U.S. Vogue Anna Wintour..

For once, it seems that the press has chosen to prefer the experience at the buzz. To mark its launch, the magazine industry has decided to dispense with the image of a particular vendor rising star, to focus attention on a character whose influence and power have proved since years. Under his nerd-like fashion magazine a bit reactionary by the court that without which nothing gets done in the sphere fashion industry seems to be taking the foot-cons of the phenomenon of excessive media coverage currently enjoyed by bloggers stars. He prefers things and focus on those who officiate in the shadows for years and whose talent and the comments are certainly at least as relevant as those of self-made men anywhere..
